How it works

Our two tracks

As our work has expanded, we’ve found ourselves operating across two very different but deeply connected forms of publishing. The common thread between them is the power of imaginative people—their ability to see new possibilities, shape meaningful stories, and bring projects to life that otherwise may never have existed.

Track 1

Musicians, Bands, and Artists

On one side, we work directly with musicians, bands, and artists to transform existing creative intellectual property—songs, lyrics, photos, poetry, artwork, visual worlds, and artistic identities—into books. These may be children’s books, lyric books, artist / band retrospectives, or anything that extends the creative palette of the artists into this medium of books.

How this happens is based on the vision and we take each one as a unique project. We collaboratively work to create books that succeed creatively, allow fans to engage more deeply and create new merchandise revenue streams and fan discovery for creators. The process really just starts with a conversation about what you want to do and what is possible.

Track 2

Institutional and Regional Documentary Projects

On the other side, we are building larger-scale documentary and archival publishing projects. These books capture musical legacy and are rooted in oral histories, image collections, community memory, historical research, and collaborative storytelling.

Beyond books, these projects also create archives that are made open access for research and preservation. Learn more about how we are defining a new documentary book publishing process

Our business is driven by imaginative people.

The greatest challenge to our growth today is finding motivated, talented, and imaginative cross-functional people who can take ownership and collaborate across a myriad of stakeholders to produce and guide our expanding portfolio of projects.

These projects require thoughtful leadership across every stage—from early concept development and funding strategy to editorial execution, production, launch, and ultimately successful integration into an artist’s or organization’s broader communications, audience engagement, and long-term marketing + business ecosystem.
